June Newsletter -lots of pictures - will be slow installing, but a very good introduction to the Central Highlands Campaign for newcomers to TCHA
Web Site - covers the various Central Highlands Alliance Campaigns - Acheron Way, Mt Baw Baw , Roston Range, Bunyip State Forest, Upper Taggerty, Indonesias forests- connection to campaign; Water Catchments , Paperlinx, Endangered Species, and Protection of Rainforest in the Central Highlands
Tours - current tours (Dec 04) focus on the loss of habitat for the endangered Baw Baw frog.
The TCHA Campaign Group is working on the removal of logging from Victorias' Water Catchments . They run orientation tours of the areas logged which demonstrate the habitat and other environmental and community values being eroded by these activities.
The June newsletter and the website are both a very moving experience. Both have very concise information on the issues involved with good accreditation of the background to all assertions made. Corporate campaigns allied to cause are indicated and explained clearly
This is currently a very strong campaign and is highly recommended by Teachers for Forests, who have been on these tours and are on the mailing list of TCHA.
