If you go down to the woods today you’re in for a big surprise…….

Who would like to come to the forests of East Gippsland this weekend??

Here are four good reasons for coming;

"The blockade is preventing the DSE from constructing a new road through virgin untouched forests the new road leads to 4 logging coupes containing old growth forest, wet and dry sclerophyll forest and rain forest. This area is rich in bio-diversity which will be lost forever if the proposed clear felling goes ahead. Rare stands of mountain ash and endangered species such as the long footed potoroo, spotted tail quoll and the Powerful and Sooty owl, are all found in this forest"

For more info see www.geco.org.au or phone GECO on 5154 0156

There are a few people leaving from 247 Flinders lane at midday this Thursday the 12th of Jan. Please let me know if you would like a lift.
